The number of mosques increased from 6 to 76 in Krishna's city Dwarka, finally bulldozers had to be run
The Gaekwad dynasty ruling here in 1945 gave space to all. According to the 1960 census, there were 600 Muslim voters and 2,786 Hindu voters. According to the time, the population of Hindus should have been 6000 and that of Muslims 1200, but Hindus reduced to 960 and the number of Muslims reached 9,500.
In the political battle of Gujarat, Dwarka has suddenly become the center of religious battle. Development and other issues have been left behind and suddenly mosques and tombs have come to the fore. While Congress candidate Mudu Bhai Kanderia is calling it a political issue, the Bharatiya Janata Party's Candidate and current MLA Babbu Bhai Manik is looking at it by connecting it with security. Babbu Bhai Manik is from BJP and has been representing the assembly since 1990. He justified the incident of demolition of tomb and mosque and said that national security was in danger due to this.
He said that the Central Investigation Agencies have taken action regarding suspicious activities in this area. Some people from the area have also been arrested. They have relations with neighboring countries. In such a situation, the incident of demolition of the mosque is absolutely correct. It should not be seen at all by linking it with elections.
'Masjid demolished only for votes'
Mudu Bhai Kandoria from Congress has got the assembly ticket for the first time. He has also contested the Lok Sabha. Regarding the demolition in Bet Dwarka, he says that this issue is completely related to politics. The government wants to polarize the votes, that is why bulldozers were fired at the mosque and tomb just before the elections. He says that when the government was providing electricity and water facilities to these institutions and was also taking money in return, then how suddenly the order to break them was issued.
What is the political math of Bet Dwarka?
Bet Dwarka is also known as Bhent Dwarka. It is believed that this is the place where Sudama came to meet Shri Krishna. By the way, there are less temples and more mosques and shrines in this area. The population of this island is 12,000, out of which 80% i.e. about 9,500 are Muslims.
Who built the mosques?
The biggest question is that how suddenly so many mosques were built in this area. In the first week of October, the silence here was broken by the noise of JCB. During this, more than 100 encroachments were removed. There were also many mosques and tombs in these. The cost of this captured land is Rs 6.5 crore.
In Bet Dwarka, many mosques and shrines were built by cutting the forest very close to the sea. Even the people living here for many years do not know who made them and when.

Drugs smuggling from Pakistan!
Ramzan Gani Palani, a fish trader, is among those whose houses and shops were demolished in Bet Dwarka. Ramzan was arrested in 2019 in connection with the seizure of 236 kg of drugs worth Rs 500 crore from the Jakhau coast of Kutch. Apart from Ramzan, the NIA had also included the names of 6 people from Pakistan in its charge sheet.
